Project Overview

Super Storm Sandy badly damaged a house on 157th avenue in Howard Beach, NY.  The house had to be demolished and  a new house constructed.  Scobbo Foundation Systems was contracted to install (59) helical piles as deep foundation support for the new house.  Scobbo ordered helical piles that were 22 feet in length, so the piles could be installed to the termination depth without having to bolt on extensions.  The piles were installed to a minimum of 5,000 ft. lbs. of torque.  The project was successfully completed in two days.
