Project Overview

Like thousands of other homes damaged or destroyed by Super Storm Sandy, the cinder block foundation under Mr. Denis Kaminek’s home in Hampton Bays, NY was destroyed.  Mr. Kaminek wanted his house raised and a new foundation installed so the house would be protected from future storm surges.  After the soil borings revealed there was a definite need for deep foundations, Mr. Kaminek’s architect recommended helical piles be used to support the new poured wall foundation.  Mr. Kaminek began an extensive search for a qualified helical pile installation contractor with operations on Long Island.  His search led him to Silvio and Danny Rebelo, the owners of Helical Piles of NY - a division of High-Rise Industries.
