TMP Alaska completed this job in March. Earthquake caused the hill above to move down and push this CMU wall in about 6”.  The engineer called for excavation of the soils against the wall to relieve pressures, and the wall rebounded back a bit. The crew drilled (7) 3” O.D. helical piles to 14-23’ into the hillside to meet the engineer’s specifications. Crews then used a tension system to pull the wall back to plumb and straight under the direction of the engineer.  Backfill was then placed.
