Project Overview

A new basketball training building was to be constructed very close to the existing Sun Dome.  The plans for the new structure called for the foundation to be poured 8 ft. below the foundation of the existing Sun Dome.  Several shoring solutions were considered including sheet piling and constructing of a retaining wall.  Brownie Geotech and Magnum Geo-Solutions collaborated on the design of a soil nail and compression pile supported shotcrete (finished) wall that provided the owner with a one-step design and the lowest cost.
