Project Overview

The Jupiter Island Club needed a new 40,000 square foot maintenance building.  The site presented a deep foundation challenge as there are (2) layers of soft, wet soils - one at 4-8 feet; the other one at 12-14 feet.  The foundation design engineer determined that suitable being strata existed between 16-18 feet, so 20 foot helical piles with some 20” and some 24” helix bearing plates were specified, and load tests were successful to verify the required (25) ton working capacity.
