Project Overview

The Veterans Hospital is converting an existing movie theater and stage into a two story addition to expand the mental health services area in order to better serve our veterans.

  • Very tight working conditions

  • Working on the 20 degree floor slope

Outcome & Next Phase

All piles reached design torque around the bid depth of 29 ft.

Breslin's Structural Concrete crew will now complete required form work, rebar and pour the concrete pile caps.

Additional Information

Installed (18) AB Chance RS2875.203  piles to an embedment depth of 29 ft. or 6700 ft. lbs. of torque to support concrete pile caps with the following AB Chance products:

  • RS2875.203 10”/12” leads
  • RS2875.203 extensions
  • New construction caps

Piles were installed with a Kubota KX91-3 excavator equipped with an Eskridge Drive Head and AllTorque monitoring system
