Foundation Repair for Los Angeles Film Studios
Los Angeles is synonymous with the entertainment industry and hosts numerous film production studios. These facilities include sound stages, offices, and support spaces designed for various creative projects. A critical part of maintaining these expansive structures is ensuring a strong, stable foundation. When one studio needed foundation stabilization for a major expansion, Ram Jack and Straight Line Construction teamed up to tackle the challenge. Ram Jack engineering manager, Darin Willis P.E., was the helical pile design engineer, and he worked closely with the city of Los Angeles engineers and officials to complete a design to meet the seismic code requirements. City officials required all piles and tiebacks had to be ICC-ES certified, and Ram Jack’s 3.50 and 4.50 inch diameter products met that requirement.
