A church local to Fort McMurray was burned down in the tragic 2016 Fort McMurray fire that cost more than $10 billion, burned 1.5 million acres of land, and destroyed 3,244 buildings. The church finally is being rebuilt from the ashes after operating from the local high school gymnasium all these years.

Roterra designed, manufactured, and installed (96) helical piles to support the 16,280 ft2 two story facility. The helical piles ranged in shaft size from 3 1/2" to 10 3/4" and each pile had between two and four helices. Single pile loads were as large as 104,000 pounds, which were supported by four helices 32 inches in diameter and installed up to 35 feet below grade. The installation torque on these larger piles exceeded 100,000 ft-lbs and all piles were installed in four days.
