Chance® Foundation Solutions Gary Seider & Sarah Banks to Present at DFI Helicals Event in Durham, CT in May
The Deep Foundations Institute, in cooperation with Helical Pile World, will host the Helical Piles-Tiebacks- Anchors Tradeshow and Educational Seminar, May 7-8 in Durham, Connecticut. This is an excellent event that combines outdoor field demos with educational, technical presentations.
The Chance team will attend the seminar and have two speakers featured in the Technical Program.
Gary L. Seider, P.E., Engineering Manager for Chance Foundation Solutions, will present The Future of the Helical Pile Industry as Thursday’s keynote address. The global helical (screw) pile market was estimated to be over $815 million USD in 2022. That number is expected to reach $1.1 billion by 2030. What are the factors that continue to drive helical pile growth in the deep foundation market? What trends are happening now? What work is needed to drive further growth? This presentation will be built upon over 38 years in the helical pile industry to give some insight into what current indications portend for the future.
Sarah Banks, Product Marketing Specialist for Chance Foundation Solutions, will present Helical Anchors: A Sustainable Solution for Our Waterways, during Plenary Session 2. In a waterway once known as Bubbly Creek, due to its function as a garbage dump and sewer system, Chance anchors have been installed to anchor the world’s first floating eco-park: The Wild Mile. Floating on the surface of the Chicago River, this project showcases how a sustainable technology like helical piles can play a part in the restoration designed to restore the biodiversity of the River.
